Today’s Blog is an interesting topic which is Email Marketing, we’re going to touch base on how to get the best out of your email marketing, hopefully, we can improve your skillset from this Blog post and help you gather more meaningful content going forward.

Email Marketing is very similar to setting up Lead & Sales Funnels in some aspects, one of the key elements of Email Marketing is to build a strong email marketing list, but we will discuss this in more detail further in our Blog.  The topics we will be concentrating on are Building an Email List (as I mentioned) Email Designing and the templates that can be used.

When I first started learning about Email Marketing I was confused, to say the least, so many different phrases, so many different types, everyone selling different types and putting their spin on them, so I understand how daunting it can be, but my advice to you if you don’t follow our Blog and move on, is stick to the basics, that’s all you need to do, don’t try and invent the wheel. OK, when you are fully established in Email Marketing, yes, by all means, go out and create your ideas, be your own man or woman, create, and help others grow, I am 110% behind that narrative. Email Marketing is a beautiful tool to have at your disposal, and you can take the core of this into any career, it will help you be a better communicator at all levels. So much is happening in our careers through AI, and more and more people are enjoying the fact they don’t need to communicate face to face, I am against it, you need to be personable it’s an art, however, if you can communicate well, you can communicate well through words, so email marketing will help you connect with people better whether it’s face to face or via Email.

So, Email Marketing as mentioned is a great tool, it fits perfectly into the Digital Marketing world which includes Social Media Marketing, Copywriting, Freelancing, and Lead/Sales Funnels. By the time you read this there will be Blog posts on each of these topics on our BLOG, so make sure you read up on them. Also, we have a Free E-BOOK available on our home page which goes into detail on each topic and gives you Tips & Tricks to do which will enable you to get started, remember this is all basic stuff, we are not giving the total game away until our Strategies come out in September 2023, but it is enough to get you started and place you on that road to success. So the first topic I want to touch on is

 

Email Marketing Lists:- Everyone knows what an email marketing list is, but it’s not knowing what one is, it’s knowing how to create one that is the problem. The easiest form of creating a list is Advertising your Blog, Website, Membership site, or business, whatever you currently have on Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Adverts, this is the fastest way to grow your list as you grow an audience. However, although it’s the easiest it’s the most expensive, you need a very large budget to be able to attract people, although not only do you need a large budget, you need a value on whatever platform you are using or business you are in, otherwise they will come and go like Mary Poppins with her Umbrella! If you don’t have a well-built platform or business, don’t waste your money or time advertising until that is in place. When I first started I grew organically, but it takes time and huge persistence and you have to sacrifice a lot. You will sacrifice time with loved ones, family, and friends, and in some scenarios, you WILL have to let people go, trust me I have done it, I’ve let people go I loved very much, but my Sole purpose had to be fulfilled, so I had to let go. Anyway, moving on, so how can we go without having a huge budget to compete with the BIG BOYS so to speak, you can’t, the BIG BOYS in your industry started where you are sitting right now, they had no budget and were probably reading blogs and forums to gain knowledge and wisdom which has taken them to where they are today, they started organically!  They grew from the bottom upwards, and do you know what when you build from the ground up and you have small baby steps, it takes ages, absolutely ages, it’s draining, but when you get there to the top of the hill, no feeling is better! Not only that you are building on a solid foundation, and when you build on a solid foundation, you build a business that will last and that’s what you want, you don’t want something that will crumble in six months. So we need to get names and email addresses, but not only do we need to get names and email addresses, we need to get people’s names and email addresses that are interested in what we do long term and what we are selling. The content when gathering your names and email address needs to be based on whatever content you are focusing on at that moment in time, for example, my team and I are focusing on Digital Marketing at the moment because we are creating easy-to-implement strategies in this sector as we speak, so most of our blog posts relate to these topics at the moment, our social media posts reflect the same, because we are bringing people into our world who are interested in Digital Marketing, remember baby steps, focus on one thing at a time. Once we have completed Digital Marketing we will move on to our next topic and again everything will be focused on that TIP When you do this when adding groups on Facebook, make sure you are only adding groups in your target audience, then you post your post that resembles what the Group on Facebook is about, everything is aligned. Your Opt in’s need to be the same, they need to be the same and reflect what your chosen niche is or what your business is doing, it’s pointless creating an Opt page about a gift that is different from the product or service you are selling or providing. Opt-ins are very simple and I suggest you use AWEBER for this as you can connect this to your website or wordpress site, from there you can set up email marketing and opt-in pop-ups. AWEBER can control your subscribers and you can set up email templates that can be sent out to your email marketing lists to keep them in touch with all the latest things happening with your website or business, you will need to however make your templates, although you can use their templates, making them personable from you in better in my eyes, we will talk about templates shortly. Another good way to create good email marketing campaigns is social media, now I know everyone knows about social media, but posting organically can be very successful if done right, like I have said many times, it definitely takes time and effort, so be prepared. TIP When you have set up your Groups based on what you are selling or the business you have, make sure you go through the feeds every day for an hour a day liking posts and commenting, it’s very important, you will find people will interact with you, but not only that you can pick up what pains people may have, and you can comment on this and drop them links to your work for example if you are writing a blog, but the key point here is finding peoples pain in your niche because you can then build your email marketing campaigns off the back of the pains you’ve found, from there you can then analysis which email marketing campaigns work and which ones don’t work, you might find a pain that everyone is currently having.

Another final point on Email Marketing is you can Network, I think everyone forgets about this, we get so drawn into a computer screen, that people forget to get out there to events! Find local events to you for enrepeaurs or in your product niche, get a hand full of business cards and hand them out, or go out onto the street to survey people, stop them ask them five questions, and ask them for their email address and name. If you tailor your questions to find out whether they will be interested in your products further down the line, give them a score out of ten for how interested they were, make three lists once you have done the survey, 1-3 not that bothered, 3-6 could be interested, 6-10 yes they may purchase, you may pick 10-20 email addresses a day that will purchase from you, do a week that is a minimum of 50 a week, 200 a month, 200 sales selling at £10.00 a piece that’s £2000, and names for the future. TIP When doing this location is key, let’s say your business is focused on video games. Where would you go? I’d go to a university campus if you were selling beauty products, I would go to the high street. Now I know you have to be careful with this one, I don’t want you getting arrested, however, I have done it and it does work.

 

Email Designing/Templates:- There are various templates you can use in Email Marketing, I think personally the best ones are from the heart, where the writer writes from his or her heart and is just honest and open, from my opinion people relate to that more than someone who tells a story about something with a total load of rubbish and the reader can see through it and drifts off into the sunset. However, there are some specific ways to tell your stories from the heart, which grabs attention and builds intrigue. TIP always remember when using email templates, always check the other devices it can be looked at on, like mobile, tablet, and so on, I have made this mistake many times. With email templates it’s important to promote your brand the same way and keep it consistent, I don’t mean telling the same story or using the same format every time, but make sure you promote, don’t just go on about a topic and forget to promote. Remember with email marketing content you are leading the client down a road, on a journey, on any journey you take it’s hardly ever a straight road, there are hills, bends, cows, and sheep, these are certain points in writing an email campaign which we will come onto.

Value Emails:- If you have read a lot of my other Blog posts you will notice I talk about value a lot because if you don’t have anything valuable, people won’t buy and if you don’t value yourself, people won’t believe you and won’t buy from you. Setting up an email marketing campaign that is focused on value is a great way to interact and grab those names and email addresses. Going back to what I said earlier about finding out people’s pain in your niche or industry is so beneficial for this topic alone, why, if you understand the niche pain of your customers you can give them something valuable that will release or ease that pain. So let’s say you found a pain that men can’t get bigger in the gym and they are eating loads and loads, but nothing happens! Your niche is already fitness products, you could sell the fact you found this great blog, video, or funnel which will help them, get them to give you their names and emails addresses and you just lead them to the blog, video, or funnel, the creator of the blog, video or funnel isn’t going to mind, your bringing business to him or her. But you are getting their names and email addresses and you know now what they are interested in. Or you might be able to solve their pain with what you are selling, again a value email marketing campaign. This email needs to be set out to grab their attention with intrigue, don’t give them everything from the start, tease them! For example, you could have “There are many reasons why businesses don’t grow” next line ” It’s not the employee’s fault” then ” Many businesses are now turning to outside help, needing strategies to grow their businesses” then this is called the click” the click does speak for itself, however, I like to relate it to the fact the client clicks to what you are saying and it resembles their pains at that present point, so it would be something like ” The takeover strategies grow men and women and their businesses making sure they reach their full potential” next line ” Click here if you want to work harder, earn better, make profit quicker and make your business stronger” the customer clicks. As you can see I am baiting them up and then reeling them in, I am offering value, they need me, they need the strategies.

Belief Shifting Emails:- Shifting someone’s beliefs isn’t easy with the power of words, but it can be done by using tips & tricks. There are three main stages to this which are Hooking, Storytelling, and Offering, I shall explain each one. Hook or Hooking is where a post or funnel catches someone’s attention off of a pain they currently have, it catches them off guard and gets them reading the story, it grabs their fascination in what it is about, this could have been the title like “Survey shows 100/100 entrepreneurs used this & had 100% success” that was just off the cuff, but you get what I mean. The hook needs to stand out, and it needs to focus on the pain you are trying to focus on in people, for example, in the title I just shared, their pain might be that there an entrepreneur and their business can’t get off the ground, so I caught their curiosity, once they start to read they are in. Then comes the story this is where you start the story at the most dramatic phase, so they get engaged very quickly at this point which helps them carry on the journey to read it fully, this is a huge mountain on their journey in the story a cliffhanger. From the mountain you go to the beginning of the road “THE START” and you tell your story building intrigue along the way until you come to the offer. Once you come to the offer you need to write it like that action hero looking out over the sunset and he’s completed his mission and saved the world. If you watch any movie they are all set out like this, for example, James Bond films are heavy on this. Go and watch a James Bond film, watch how they put the story together, watch for the ending and how they close it out, this is how you need to close. I will give you an example:- ” All this changed my life, it helped me grow up and take responsibility for my actions” ” I was lucky because I found this, I thanked GOD for this so many times, it’s simply life-changing” then you could have underlined ” Discover the exact tools that helped me focus my mindset the same as Elon Musk” Now you probably don’t want to use a total genius 🙂 but you get my drift.
